Rates

At Wiber rent a car we offer two types of rates:

"Full to Full" and "All inclusive" Rates

Rate "Full to Full"

Our “Full to Full” Rate includes:


In case of accident or damage, the customer must fill out an accident report and provide it to our staff at the office. Any damage or accidents that are not notified will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the client and may lead to additional expenses.

An administrative fee of 50 euros will be applied for each damage caused to the vehicle during the rental period.

In the event of a flat tire, the customer must immediately contact our roadside assistance service. Customers are not allowed to carry out repairs on their own.

We offer different types of courtesy damage, depending on the type of damage (see chapter: “Courtesy damage on the Full/Full rate”).

Wiber will block the excess fee from the customer's credit card at the desk when the vehicle is collected. Once returned, if the vehicle is in the same condition in which it was received, we will proceed to reimburse the client for the excess fee. The excess fee will be charged in case of damage. Wiber is not responsible for the fees/commission charged by the customer's bank when the excess fee is returned.


Regarding the charge of the excess fee in case of vehicle damage or accident, the client would pay, at the most, the amount of the excess fee determined by the group of vehicle booked:

Groups A, A1, A10, A2, A4, A8, AE, AW, B, B1, B18, B2, B3, B8, BW, BZ, C14W, C28, D18: Excess fee 1000,00 €

Groups C, C1, C10, C11, C11W, C13, C18, C2, C21, C2W, C3, C3W, C4, C4W, C6, CW, CZ: Excess fee 1100,00 €

Groups C22, C22K, C23, E18: Excess fee 1200,00 €

Groups C24, C42, C5, C7, C7W, C8, C9, D, D1, D2, D3, D5, D8, DW: Excess fee 1400,00 €

Groups A6, E, E1, E12, E13, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, E7, E8, F, F1, Y1: Excess fee 1700,00 €

Rate "All Inclusive"

Our “All Inclusive” Rate includes:

This coverage applies to cars and vans.

Removing the vynil stickers from the vans (groups K and K2) will also be interpreted as negligence.

All our tariffs and prices are inclusive of taxes (VAT).

Courtesy damage on the Full/Full rate

We offer different types of courtesy damage, depending on the type of damage:

Damages will be measured with a tool that corresponds to the measurement mentioned above. Any damage that goes outside the red lines, will not be considered as courtesy.


Required documentation to pick up your car

The client will need the following documents to pick up the vehicle:


The Passport or NIE must be produced exclusively in physical format. Under no circumstances will digital copies, photographs, or photocopies be accepted. If the customer does not present his/her Passport or NIE in physical format, Wiber reserves the right not to proceed with the vehicle rental.

Spanish driving licenses will be accepted both in their original and digital format. The digital driver’s license will only be valid if they are provided on the official ‘miDGT’ App installed on the mobile phone. Digital copies will not be accepted.

The client will be exempt from providing the international driver's license if they present a driving license from the European Union or if their license is issued by one of the countries listed in the official DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico) agreement list:

The client will need to provide the international driving license:

If the driver's license is issued outside the European Union (regardless of whether it displays on the list of DGT agreements), you will need to present:


All documentation must be in force. If the contract holder and all of the drivers do not provide the documentation described above, it will not be possible to provide the vehicle. The required documentation must be produced for in-person rental agreement extensions.

Notarized copies or driving license certificates, such as those issued by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) for British drivers, or other countries not listed in the official DGT agreement list, will not be accepted

The flight number and/or the boarding pass will be requested prior to the hire. In the event that the client does not have this information, we reserve the right not to provide the vehicle.

Modification of the reservation

Modifications to the reservation are subject to availability and can be made without any charges or penalties. However, we kindly request that these modifications be made no later than 24 hours before vehicle pickup to ensure the best service.

Such modifications can be made in the 'Customer Service' section on the website or by calling directly at +34 964 010 000 or by sending an email to bookings@wiberrentacar.com.

Cancellation of the reservation

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before vehicle pickup and will incur no charges or penalties. Cancellations made within 24 hours will not be refunded.

If the customer decides to return the vehicle before the end date of the contract, and the notice of early return is given with less than 24 hours' notice (to the new drop-off date), the amount for the unused days will not be refunded. However, if the modification of the return date is communicated with at least 24 hours' notice, the amount for the unused days will be refunded.

In the case of cancellations due to force majeure, it must be justified and documented. If accepted by the company, we will issue a coupon for the total value of the reservation to be used for future rentals at any of our offices.

Free roadside assistance

At Wiber we offer the client free roadside assistance 24/7 during the entire rental period.

Roadside assistance caused by client negligence will be charged to the client if the Top Cover was not contracted.                                 

Clients must report all accidents within 24 hours after the accident.

In case of accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer must fill out the accident / damage report (found together with all the documents of the vehicle) and hand it in to our office. Any damages or accidents that are not notified will be taken as negligence on the client side and additional fees may be added.

Driver’s age

The minimum age to rent is 21 years old, except for groups E5 and C7, where the minimum age for renting is 25 years old.

Drivers aged 21 to 24, both inclusive must pay a Young Driver surcharge of 9,00 € per day, maximum 90,00 € per car hire.

Additional drivers 9,00 € per day and driver. Maximum 90,00 € per car hire.

Up to 3 additional drivers are accepted.

The driver must be in possession of a valid driver’s license for at least one year.

Rental agreement extensions

Extensions will be made through our Call Center. The maximum total of rental days is 27 days.

The required documentation must be produced for in-person rental agreement extensions.

Baby seats (0-9 kg)

11,80 € per day.

Maximum 95,00 € per car hire and accessory.

Child seats (9-18 kg)

11,80 € per day.

Maximum 95,00 € per car hire and accessory.

Booster seats (18-36 kg)

11,80 € per day.

Beach Umbrellas

2,00 € per day.

Additional Driver

9,00 € per day and driver.

Maximum 95,00 € per car hire and driver.

Young Driver

9,00 € per day and driver.

Maximum 95,00 € per car hire and driver.

Express line

When booking the express line, you will have at your service a fast line that allows you to avoid the main queue. 

Payment methods

Payment will be made either in advance or upon vehicle pickup, as chosen by the customer, using a credit or debit card (Visa and MasterCard).

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards, as well as Visa and MasterCard debit cards (except EC-Karte and Girocard). We do not accept American Express. We also do not accept cash, payments with virtual cards, digital cards, or via smartphone. Only physical cards are accepted as a method of payment.


Other payment restrictions

In those cases where the hirer of the vehicle is not the main driver, they must mandatorily contract our additional coverage, Top Cover.

Payment must be made with a single, nominative credit or debit card.

The cardholder must be present at the time of payment.

Fuel policy

In line with our transparency policy, we only offer the Full to Full policy: we provide the vehicle with a full tank to be returned full.

In case the vehicle is not returned full, there will be an extra charge of 19 Euros. Wiber is the company with the lowest refueling charge in the market.

This fuel policy is applied to all our rates ("All Inclusive" and "Full / Full") without any hidden or additional charges. However, in the "Full / Full" fare the fuel price will be withheld as a deposit that will be refunded completely if it is returned full again. Otherwise, the amount to be reimbursed will be calculated based on unused fuel and the unit of measure will be for every 1/16 of the vehicle's full deposit.

The price of the fuel tank will vary depending on the capacity of the tank of each vehicle and the current market price.

In case of upgrade, the deposit of the vehicle received will be paid. 

Limited mileage

The car groups C9, C7, C22, C23, E3, E5, E12, E13, G2, G3 and G5 are limited to 160km per day. 

The grous K and K2 (vans) are limited to 250km per day.

It will be applied a surcharge of 0.25€ per extra kilometre

Vehicle use and excess mileage

Wiber Rent a Car is a car rental company for holiday use only. Those customers who use the car for commercial purposes and / or that entails an abuse of unlimited mileage, accident rate or intensive utility to the vehicle will be in breach of the provisions of the contract and, therefore, we reserve the right to refuse future rental services with Wiber Rent a Car

Restrictions

Vehicles must be dropped off at the same collection point (where they were picked up). In case of vehicle abandonment, a charge of 100 Euros will be applied in concept of recovery fee. The client will be responsible for any other fee arising due to vehicle abandonment.

No hotel deliveries are offered. 

It is not allowed to leave Spanish territory with the vehicle, including territories like Gibraltar, Portugal, Andorra, and France. It is also not permitted to travel between islands, from the mainland to the islands, or vice versa.

The customer must provide a local address at the time of vehicle pickup.

A customer cannot have more than one rental agreement in force simultaneously under their name. If the customer wishes to make multiple bookings, they must assign a different customer as the holder of each contract.


Cleaning the vehicle

The rental price includes a standard car wash upon return. However, if the customer returns the vehicle in an extremely dirty condition, they will be responsible for the necessary special cleaning, for which a charge of 50 euros will apply. Special cleaning refers to any cleaning that requires a more thorough process and goes beyond the regular washing cycle of the vehicle. The following are the most common cases where the special cleaning charge applies:

This fee also applies to our non-smoking policy for all our vehicles. We will apply the special cleaning charge if, upon return of the vehicle, it requires a special treatment to remove the smell or any other evidence of smoking inside.

Administration charge for the Processing of Fines

A 35 Euros Administration charge will apply on each fine, penalty report or case file issued by the corresponding authority in respect of the vehicle hired (and of events occurring during the term of the rental).  This charge is in addition to the amount of the fine the client will have to pay to the corresponding authority.

Damage Administration Fee

A 50 Euros Administration charge will apply on each damage caused to our vehicles in the basic, full – full rate. This charge is in addition to the amount of the damage caused to the vehicle.

Data Communication to the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT)

In compliance with applicable legal provisions, we inform our customers that, should Wiber Rent a Car receive traffic violation notifications related to the use of vehicles provided to our customers, we will proceed to communicate the personal data of the responsible customer to the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) or other competent authorities, solely for the purpose of identifying the offending driver and fulfilling our legal obligation to cooperate with these authorities.

The data communicated will include exclusively those necessary for identifying the customer and managing the violation, such as full name, ID/Foreigner ID, address, and any other information required by applicable regulations. This action will be carried out to comply with legal obligations.

Additionally, Wiber Rent a Car may communicate data to Public Administrations to fulfill legal obligations and to Law Enforcement Agencies and/or Courts and Tribunals that request them within the framework of an investigation, inquiry, or procedure. Data may also be communicated to the following categories of processors: providers of electronic communications, office automation, hosting, housing, IT maintenance, accounting, auditing, consultancy, and legal representation services. Some of these processors may be located outside the European Economic Area, in which case WIBER will have previously adopted appropriate data protection guarantees.

Environmental labels

Some of our vehicles may have environmental labels, which allow them to access Low Carbon Emission Zones (ZBE) established by different municipalities. However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure whether the vehicle is allowed to enter these zones or not.

If the vehicle has an environmental label, it is the customer’s responsibility to comply with the current regulations set by each municipality regarding the Low Carbon Emission Zones. The customer will be held responsible for fines, penalties, or any other inconvenience resulting from the vehicle entering restricted areas.

In case of damage or loss of the environmental label during the rental period, an additional charge of 10 euros will be applied for the replacement of the label.

Vehicle substitution

In case of vehicle substitution, the client must provide his passport or NIE (tax identification number in Spain). Otherwise vehicle substitution will not be possible.                

Office hours

Our office hours are Monday-Sunday at the following times:

From 07:00 till 23:00


Pick up

Reservations with pick up taking place outside of office hours will not be accepted.

It’s important to consider that we will give clients a 45-minute margin to come to the meeting point after the plane has landed. Otherwise the booking cannot be guaranteed.

For WALK-IN bookings if the client has not picked up the vehicle within three hours of the stipulated pick-up time, the booking will be cancelled as availability cannot be guaranteed. 

In case of flight delay we will wait for you. A charge of 40 Euros will be applied to all reservations outside our opening hours.

The office hours may vary during the Christmas holidays (December 24th, 25th, and 31st, and January 1st) in order to ensure the work-life balance of our employees.

Drop off

Reservations with drop off time outside office hours will be accepted depending on the contracted rate (only in Alicante):

Important: vehicle can only be returned in EcoParking if the return time stipulated in the contract is between 23:01 and 06:59. Otherwise, we will apply an extra charge of 30 euros.

Late return of the vehicle

The vehicle must be returned at the time stipulated in the contract. In case of delay, a charge of 25 euros per day will apply.

If this delay also entails some additional rental day, you will also be charged the amount corresponding to the additional rental days. The rents are calculated in periods of 24 hours. This period is counted from the exact time of the pick up of the car until the time that is returned at the Wiber Rent a Car facilities. 

Flight number

To guarantee the best quality of service it is very important that you provide us your flight number. In case of flight delay we are unable to guarantee the reservation if you haven’t provided us with your flight number.

Missing objects

Wiber rent a car does not accept any responsibility for personal items left in the vehicle.

Wikey products

Wikey products consist of two types of services:

To make use of the Wikey service, the Client has to check-in online with their personal data, along with a copy of their driver's license and passport/ID. This documentation will be validated by a third party.

The information that the Client provides, both the personal data and documentation provided for the Wikey products, is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookies and it is sent to us and our third-party partner using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This protocol guarantees that all data that is transferred between the Client and Wiber Rent a Car is fully encrypted and protected.

Those clients who do not check in online, or whose documentation is not validated correctly, will not be able to make use of the Wikey products. 

The contracting of the Wikey Smart Box services entails receiving a code for picking up the vehicle both from our key vending machines (Smart Box) and via mobile at the airport (Smart Car). This code is secret, personal, and non-transferable. The customer is the only person authorized by Wiber Rent a Car Spain, S.L. to pick up the vehicle. Therefore, the customer is directly responsible for all consequences that may arise from someone other than the customer picking up the vehicle at our facilities: breakdowns due to misuse of the vehicle, theft, or any damage to the vehicle, as well as damages that the vehicle may cause to other vehicles, drivers, or property in general.


Similarly, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the documentation they provide to Wiber Rent a Car Spain, S.L. through the verification platform is their own. If the documentation is not their own, the customer will assume the consequences derived from this inconsistency, including fines, penalties, or any other type of liability that arises.


The pick-up and return times for the car with the Wikey Smart Box service are during office hours (see the "Office Hours" section)


Exclusive Wikey Smart Car terms

Cars booked by the Smart Car rate shall be picked up and given back at the airport parking lot. Wiber Rent a Car is responsible for the cost of the parking ticket up to one hour after the scheduled pick-up time as a courtesy margin.

If a Smart Car vehicle is picked up outside this time frame, the customer will be responsible for the extra parking cost.

The pick-up time for the car with the Wikey Smart Car service is during office hours (see chapter "Office hours"). Returns are allowed 24 hours a day.

Use of the Bowi Virtual Assistant (chatbot)

With the aim of improving the user experience and offering immediate assistance, Wiber Rent a Car provides a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence on its website. This tool is intended to answer frequently asked questions related to our services.

However, due to the nature of the technology used, the responses provided by the virtual assistant may contain errors, inaccuracies, or may not be fully aligned with the current Terms and Conditions of Wiber Rent a Car. 

Therefore, Wiber Rent a Car is not responsible for any decisions made by the user based on the information provided by the virtual assistant. In case of any discrepancy or doubt, the information contained in these Terms and Conditions, as well as that provided directly by Wiber Rent a Car staff through its official customer service channels, shall always prevail.
